IHC Global hosts Urban-Data Policy Roundtable

WASHINGTON, DC, November 10, 2017- IHC Global hosted an expert consultative session to consider how to use data to guide equitable decision-making rather than simply for monitoring purposes.  This roundtable was held as a part of the IHC Global “Smart City. Just City.” initiative, ahead of its official launch at the upcoming ninth World Urban Forum. The expert group consisted of participants from the private and public sectors and civil society, including representatives from Amazon, Urban Institute, and USAID. The group convened over lunch to discuss where data and urban issues intersect, and review “Mobilizing the Data Revolution to Support Urban Development,” a policy paper done by IHC Global Senior Technical Advisor and Urban Institute Fellow Tom Kingsley with and on behalf of IHC Global.
