Vincent Agaba

 

Vincent Agaba has over 10 years’ experience in the real estate sector in Uganda. He was one of the founders of the Association of Real Estate Agents of Uganda (AREA-Uganda), and has been serving first as President and later on as CEO. In these capacities, Mr. Agaba has been one of the key contributors towards the formulation of real estate legislation in Uganda, including the National Housing Policy and the Real Estate Agents Bill. Also, he has advocated for the registration and training of real estate agents, promoting professionalism in the real estate industry in Uganda. Mr. Agaba is also the Managing Director of Avarts Housing Ltd, a real estate management company in Uganda. In this capacity, he has overseen the marketing and operations departments, handled complex negotiations between Landlords and Tenants and has been a Team Leader for various Feasibility Studies the company has carried out for both commercial and residential properties. Mr. Agaba also serves as one of the Directors of the Real Estate Institute of East Africa (REIEA) and advises on the course content and direction of the Institute. He has been one of the Instrumental designers of the Real Estate Management Bachelor Degree Program at Makerere University Business School (MUBS) where he still visits as a guest speaker. He has training qualifications as well and has been providing trainings on various real estate topics, blending practical experience with theory. Additionally, Mr. Agaba has provided consultancy services to the International Real Property Foundation (now International Housing Coalition Global USA) and Shore Bank International. He has a Degree in Business Administration and Management from Uganda Martyrs University and a Degree in Business Studies profile-International Business and Management from the University of Groningen, The Netherlands.
