David M Michonski is an international commentator, teacher, author and lecturer on luxury and international marketing. He is the author of the upcoming book, Unlocking the Gates: secrets to luxury real estate and marketing power and is writing Global Connections: marketing homes internationally.
David is a media spokesperson on international matters for the National Association of Realtors (“NAR”) and serves on the Board of Directors of the International Real Property Foundation.
He has been Chairman of the International Operations Committee of NAR and was named “Instructor of the Year” for the Certified International Property Specialist (“CIPS”) designation for which he is a senior instructor.
He was the founding president of the Manhattan Association of Realtors and the Manhattan Multiple Listing Service in New York, New York.
As a CIPS David has taught and lectured on real estate all over the world including Poland, Italy, Portugal, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and China. Most recently he taught all the CIPS courses in Sweden and Greece and soon will teach all five courses in South Africa.
David has been a guest on CNBC having been on “Morning Call,” “Squawk Box,” and “Closing Bell.” He has appeared on CNBC’s “High Net Worth” twice and had a weekly newscast on ABC NEWS.COM. He has appeared on ABC World News Tonight, Good Morning America, The Today Show, CNN, PBS and recently did a worldwide call-in radio broadcast on National Public Radio.
He resides in Greenwich, Connecticut with his wife, Linda, a Realtor with Prudential CT Realty, and two children, Katie, a researcher on global warming for the Council on Foreign Relations, and Michael, a sophomore at Colgate University.
